Trandoshan Hunters are the new band of good friend and fellow Fresh On The Net moderator Chris Ingram. Alongside the North Wales based Scottish poet and vocalist are fellow Scot and multi-instrumentalist [from Edinburgh] Andy Duncan and Dublin-based songwriter Richard Geraghty. Together they bring us Jawbreaker, a genre-defying track with elements of Hip Hop. Electronica, Dub and EDM. The track is introduced by a three-note synth melody and echoing whispered voice before the beat comes in. What then follows is a hard-as-f*** spoken word rhyme with repeating three-note figure at its heart and plenty of breakz, effects and nuances. It is cleverly constructed and achieves an appealing intensity and fluidity. It also has the perfect punchy production style to complement its dubby Electro-Punk-Hop edge and keep me hooked.

Chris is about to embark on an exciting tour of Eastern Europe and then Trandoshan Hunters will be appearing at this year’s Focus Wales on Saturday 10th May at 5pm. They are a band on a mission. Time to get on board.
